Thinking of coming to class? We are looking forward to meeting you!
This is a beginner yoga sequence, perfect for anyone who has never done yoga before or anyone who would like to try something new. It's also great for those who want a new challenge or a decent stretch to aid in recovery.
The most important thing to do is to stay in the room where the teacher can keep an eye on you, listen to the instructions carefully, focus on your breathing and sit out of postures when you need to. Listen to your body and take care of yourself.
This yoga has many benefits, and we are excited that you are joining us to experience them for yourself.
Here are some handy tips to help you prepare for your first class:
- Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to class on your first visit. This is so the teacher can introduce themselves to you, have a chat with you, answer any questions you have and show you around the facilities. You can access the studio via the left side of the property where you will see the HHY sign.
- Please bring a yoga mat (a thin and firm one is best), one or two large bath/beach towels and plenty of water to class. Yoga towels will not be available for rent at this time due to COVID-19.
- Try not to eat or drink too much in the two hours prior to your class. Make sure you have hydrated well throughout the day. You are going to sweat – a lot! If you need to you can take electrolytes or magnesium before or after class.
- Wear light clothing to your class. Shorts and a tank top or crop top are best. No bathers, underwear or bandeau tops please.
- Please only bring your yoga mat, towel, and water into the hot room. Leave your mobile phone/smart watch and any loud jewellery such as bangles in the foyer area. Phones and smart watch devices are not permitted in the hot room as they are a distraction to the class. No glass water bottles are allowed in the studio building at any time.
